What kind of comments is Odd Plant interested in?

Odd Plant is interested in comments relevant to the post. We would love to hear your insights, criticism, etc.

There are a few things that we do not tolerate: hate speech, profanity (including expletives, letters followed by dashes and other symbols), commercial promotion, impersonations, and obscenity. 

1. How do I leave a comment?

   At the bottom of the article, there is a text submission form where you can submit your comment. Account registration to leave a comment is not necessary. Your comment may not show up immediately after posting. 

2. Should I use my real name and information when making a comment?

   Using your real name is not required. We value your privacy. It is possible that once your comment is published, it can be found in search results on websites such as Google. Occasionally, an Odd Plant staff member might request a follow-up interview with you via the email address you have listed to post your comment.

3. Why did my comment disappear?

   Comments are moderated. If your comment does not comply with our guidelines, it is subject to removal.

4. Does Odd Plant edit my comments?

   No, we do not. We reserve the right to edit comments on www.opfoundation.org. If your comment does not comply with Odd Plant guidelines, it will be removed from the site.

5. Why does Odd Plant moderate readers' comments?

   Odd Plant encourages healthy conversations. We seek to create a space where users can exchange information and ideas that enhances the articles we post.

   We understand that most comments posted will be relevant and non-abusive, but have moderation policies set to ensure the safety and well-being of our users.

6. I found an inappropriate comment. What should I do?

   Please email Odd Plant with reasons you believe it should be removed.

   If a comment is inappropriate, contains deliberate misinformation, or you suspect that a comment has been posted by a political propaganda network, please let our team know.

   Reported comments are not automatically removed from the site and will be reviewed by an Odd Plant staff member in a timely manner.

7. What about criticism of Odd Plant?

   Odd Plant welcomes strong opinions and criticism of our work. However, personal attacks against our staff will not be permitted; any criticism should relate to the published article. 

   Odd Plant will not allow comments to be overrun with comments regarding our moderation policies; such comments will be removed.

8. What if I see an error in an article? What is the best way to suggest a correction?

   We appreciate it when readers and people quoted in articles point out errors of fact or emphasis and will investigate all assertions. To send a message, please email Odd Plant.
